By meeting a few criteria, we will set up our appraisal facilities in your office for a special one day event. On this day, along with cleaning and inspecting your customer's jewelry items, we will provide a complete professional appraisal with a full color photo. Our appraisals provide comprehensive information not only about the item, but its insurance replacement value. If your insured should actually ever need to replace the item due to loss, a CJR appraisal will insure that the item is replaced with like kind and quality. Most importantly, our appraisal clinics encourage your customers to seek your professional advice as to how to adequately insure their jewelry against loss.

How can I have a successful Appraisal Clinic?
We have found that this type of event can be successful on its own, or along with a scheduled open house. In preparation for the event, we do ask that you send a letter to ALL your customers advising them of the upcoming opportunity. We have an example letter (see link below) for your review. You then take this letter and conveniently print it on your own letterhead (inputting the necessary information) and send it to your mailing list announcing the one day event that you have coordinated for all of your valued customers.
In the letter that you send, ask your customers to call your office in order to reserve a time slot. We have found it best to use an appointment sheet for this event (one is made available to you via the link below). We believe it is best formatted to serve the purpose of scheduling the appointments. If your insured has 5 items or less, one 30-minute time slot should be adequate. For more items, schedule two slots. If your insured has more than 8 items, we suggest a private consultation, at which time, we will arrange a convenient time with your insured.
On the day of the clinic, your appraise will arrive at your office with all the instruments necessary to clean, inspect, appraise, photograph, and determine insurability. All the information will be gathered on the day of the event*. A typed copy is provided within 1 week and is forwarded to both you and your insured.
* Some items may need a more in-depth analysis with instruments that we cannot bring with us. These jewelry items would need to be brought back to our shop to better assess their value and could require as much as 1 week turn around for delivery.
What costs are involved with an Appraisal Clinic?
For a quality in-depth appraisal you could pay $80-$100 per item. Our normal rate is $50 for one item and $40 for each additional item. As part of this special appraisal clinic promotion, the first item appraised will cost $35. Each additional item will cost $25. This savings, along with the "while-you-wait" service, should be an excellent incentive for your customers to come in. We will bill your customers on the day of the clinic. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
Your cost for the promotion is $350.00 plus travel expenses**. We will, however, apply all billing toward the total cost of the event. So, for example, if you have 10 1-item appraisals performed on the day of the event along with any appointments scheduled at our office, the appraisal clinic costs you nothing!
